subject: Twits and twitter

Hi Paul,
I've had a look at the FTS-0001 standard and it's stupid. The
02 00 is a very unsatisfactory way of identifying messages because it
occurs all over the place, so I'm using the C7 02 00 00 00 00 which is
the destination node followed by the nuls. Then I go back 8 bytes to
the 02 00 beginning. I only intend to use the twitter after PKTJOIN,
so it'll always have the nuls and my node number. If I use 02 00 as
the message identifier I have to make all sorts of allowances
(especially with your C7 02 node number which turns up everywhere
with a null after it).

Overwriting the twit message with spaces didn't seem to cause any
problems, after the revised packet had passed through PKT2QWK and was
read by BlueWave, but I took your advice anyway, and erased the twit
message by writing the next message on on top of it in the revised
packet.

At present, it erases any message with the twit in the TO or FROM
field, but I might modify it so I can choose a partial or total twit
removal.

Regards,
Bob
