Well, things like "advanced squelch options" and all these new fangled
inventions :-) that they come with I personally dont consider when picking
out the 'best' scanner. My personal criteria, is that I do heavy monitoring
on all different bands,  so one reason I feel AOR is superior is because
it allows you to select such a wide variety of demod modes selectable by the
user..  Wheras with ICOMS.. The demodulation modes are "built-in" and only
ceartain demod modes work on ceartain bands (which is not a good thing).
