Maybe he changed something since I installed a few months ago. adc_056 is
inside E:\Apps\CDBurn here, and I didn't come up with that name
"CDBurn" -- it
isn't the sort of naming convention I follow,

No, I'm telling you what the GI did here when I used it to deinstall (CW's
word, not mine!) 0.53 and itself before installing the "new,
improved" GI and
then dear old 0.56. Since the only thing I did was specify E:\Utilities as
where GI should install itself (actually, under, not in, as it turns out) and
E:\Apps for 0.56, I'm assuming the rest is default. (I certainly wanted it to
be.)

It should be made as part of the install process.

No, I'm telling you what happened here, which I've explained I have good
reason to believe is the default.

Coming from 3+ directly to eCS 1.2, I just remembered something that eCS asks
during the install, and that is default locations for appls and tools/utils.
Look in config.sys and see if you have a "set programs=" line and
if so, where
it points. IIRC, the eCS default is :\Programs. If so, change it to
something more to your liking; I use E:\Apps.

I can't find where E:\Utilities got set, but I vaguely remember the eCS
installer asking and me answering. (Assuming not a false memory syndrome!)
