I cheated. Took my Sportster 839 to "da store" (+$$), and got a
complete, new/refurbed 839B back.
No delays, no discussions, and works *MUCH* mo' bettah!
Not too many X2 sites here, but I get pretty consistent 28.8 connects to
one local BBS, and consistent 26.4 connects to my local ISP.
Occasional speed deltas (fall-forward and -back) but *NO* "just for
grins" disconnects.
The 33.6 upgrade for my MultiTech is s'posed to arrive this week, and
we'll see how that compares to the X2.
