XID timeouts have nothing to do with retrains.
But having said that there were a batch of V.FCs which had the fallback-
fallforward disabled as default %e0, when it should've been %e2.  This
extended thru to the first V34s in models 275 and 450.  Latest ROM fixed
this de_fault (ver1.309)
