If I _had_ another PA system, or bass amp to compare, I would.
Actually, I did do some comparisons on bass amps.  And the
Peavy T-MAX with a full tube channel, and a solid state channel.
500 watts.  It rocks.  It sounded better than the others I listened to.
There were no Fenders around to compare however.
I went to see 3 Dog Night this past weekend, and they played their
guitars through a couple of tweed Peavys.  Surprised me, but they
sounded OK.  The lead player had some effects pedal going on.
