It actually took almost a month.

I did a 27-1/2 mile ride this morning after tilting the seat
back. I think that I adjusted it a little too far because I
experienced discomfort and I usually don't on a short ride. 8-(
I did realize one mistake that I've been making. I have been locking
my arms straight instead of bending them and allowing them to flex
to absorb road shock which was transmitting it all to my hands.
The seat adjustment, along with better technique and a good pair
of gloves may solve my problem without having to get aero bars.
I'll let ya know something after my next long ride.
