You are right, I read in F-Prot that EXEs could be renamed to COMs and they
would still work. I read this while reading a virus description and it said
that this virus was set to only infect COMs and couldn't infect EXEs, so a
EXE that was renamed to a COM would destroy the file, or something like that.
Anyway, it is possible.
