While you may be technically right about Amway not being a cult just as it
legally is not a pyramid in that no one forces you in or out, I think when
something like a so-called Dream Week end keeps you so busy that there is no
time for anything else except sleep and very little of that, it borders on
mind control.
I heard the presentation years ago from Bill Britt one of the highest ranking
distributers in Amway and also heard one of the dexter yeager tapes. They're
pretty slick about their presentations like slipping in Amway into the
presentation so as you really have to listen for it and other things.
Also, while I do not have statistics, I would think fewer than 1 per cent of
the participants have made enough money to support themselves and even fewer
have become rich from it. The products are good and I understand that the
recent addition of a toll free number where you can call in orders and have
them shipped individually for $4.00 per order makes it much easier for us,
but it's like anything else; you have to separate the believable from the
B.S.
Finally, since this isn't N.F.B. related, maybe we should take this
discussion to Blind- Talk if we want to continue it.
