Concur! And am willing to plunk my tax dollars down to make it 
happen. I have seen this happen in some schools- it is glorious 
to see.
Although I have been holding back comments on the WL thread since 
I don't have much to add, I would observe that good research will 
be extremely difficult to achieve since teaching is an art and 
the best artists will never follow a program to the detriment of 
their students.  They always fudge the bad programs!
