Radio Australia is just following in the wake of the other international 
broadcasters.  The economy everywhere stinks and everyone's trying to find 
ways of saving money.  Once in a while measures get introduced into the 
Canadian Parliament asking for reduced spending on the CBC.  I suppose there 
are similar pieces of legislation introduced into the U.S. Congress asking 
for budget cuts at the Voice of America.  This new worldwide economy thing is 
cutting into a bunch of shortwave broadcasting budgets.  Happy
