I learned yesterday that doctors won't diagnose allergies until a child is
three (?) years old. So it could be allergies. On the other hand, isn't it
possible that the infection is what is making the child rub, thus
setting up a cycle?
Personally, I'd check on the old standbys - are there feather pillows around
the baby? Old woolen blankets? Does she spend time near pollen-producing
plants or trees? Remove the allergens from her environment and see if that
helps.
