            I wanted to reply to your statement that went like this...

I believe that the best place to start the pressure may be with average
joe citizen. It is because of the already hard work and pressure by
environmental folk that you too have probably become aware of
"overpopulation"(whatever that is) as well as many of the other
situations we find ourselves faced with.Environmental groups do not need
pressure they need unity amongst themselves, and they need public
support( and that does not mean money).
  As for pressuring government...Become the government!
