Hi Diane,
I "owe" you a pergamano card. I still have your address and I'm working on
getting some "owe" things out in the mail this week.
I make spider web rose ribbon embroidery earrings set on studs. I use white
silk material and make the roses about half inch wide. A single rose per
tud.
Cut the material just a tad bigger than the anchor threads and glue the
material to a small piece of light cardboard. Then the cardboard is attached
to the earring stud. If you are careful and cover the cardboard well on the
wrong side you can have the cardboard a tad larger than the stud backing. I
use a white tacky glue for adhiesive so I stick the stud in some styrofoam
(upright) so the rose has a chance to dry and still stay in place. A bar of
soap works good too.
If you would like a sample I can do that. My cost for the studs are $1.50 and
I use left over ribbon and I'm mailing you a card anyways so don't worry
about postage. But if you could cover the cost of the earrings I would
appreciate it.
Do you have a color you like? I have a large selection of ribbon so feel to
ask for a color you would perfer. No point in sending a set you won't wear
because you don't like the color!!
They are very simple to make and I'll send a set of directions along too.
I'm busy right now with sewing things. Curtains first and then a dresser
topper, then some silk/dryed flower arrangements to finish decorating my
girls rooms for this spring. Just in time for Easter!!!
I do hope you are feeling OK. Your vertigo must be terrible! At least the
cast will keep you off your feet and prevent another fall but it is
difficult to be mobile with a cast on :-(
Take care,
Gail
