In this area (Rhode Island) there are two "marine consignment" stores.
 They sell all kinds of stuff, from used fishing equipment to anchors,
electronics, used canvas, snaps, used engine parts, used sailing
pulleys, swivels, etc.  Some of the stuff is junk, but some real
bargains can be had.  I'll bet there are stores like that in most
cities and towns on the water.
