subject: orphaned descriptions

Hi Jorj,
(Monday April 13 1998 00:15) Jorj Strumolo to Gerald Miller about: orphaned
descriptions
 JS> Personally, I wouldn't. I'd just redescribe the file.
JS> That process would prune the DESCRIPT.ION file in the
JS> unlikely event there are duplicates. Or one could do
 JS> ffind /a:h /v /t"*anti-vir.dat*" descript.ion
JS> That gets you a full list. You could redirect that to a file,
JS> and then grab the penultimate word on the last line of that file:
JS> %@word[-1,[%@line[$di,%@lines[$di]]] for the number of appearances
In addition, this list could be used to ONLY take safety-precautions before
deleting ANTI-VIR.DAT in those directories where FFIND found the reference in
DESCRIPT.ION ;-)
In other dirs, ANTI-VIR.DAT could be removed without trying to safe-guard its
description (which doesn't seem to exist there, anyway )
