Right on all counts!  Another interesting characteristic of
the "TraumaHawk" was due to the T tail.  If you would stall
the plane, and then just hold the yoke back instead of
recovering, the plane would (as most would) bob it's nose up
and down, alternately stalling and recovering slightly on
it's own.  The thing with this was, as the elevator moved in
and out of the "wing wash" it would BANG as it caught clean
air.  So, the thing would be bobbing along going BANG, BANG,
BANG (and of course losing altitude with every bob of the
nose).  What with the twisting during the spins, and the
banging during the stalls, we were always looking for loose
rivets in the tailcone!  Never found any though!!
