This is far from true in this day in time.

Yes, OS/2 users have their reasons...my main reason being that it
multitask far better than it's competitors and it is extremely
stable.

I have posted my thoughts here recently. I did not whine or beg, nor
will I ever concerning this subject...nor did I see the msgs from
others requesting an OS/2 version as whining or begging. What I
pointed out was that outstanding native OS/2 versions exist in
other archivers now and that I was terminating support for arj on
my system least we get a native OS/2 version soon. I haven't seen
one and have now terminated arj support. My system is the major
hub for this area and the result was predictable...arj support is
drying up in the whole area.

I agree that OS/2 is very widely used in the sysop community and
is growing more popular as we speak...and with good reason. Sysops
push their hardware and software much harder than others and are
always testing new products. OS/2 is proving itself to be a very
solid OS for sysops.

I submit that time will tell which decision is suicide. Right now
I'd say that not producing a OS/2 version is closer to suicide.
