From what I recall the deadline in Il is before the Rep convention, the
Reps have asked to have that minor point nullified and the Dems that
control Il have responded with "grease our palms with a few hundred
million dollars worth of pork and we'll think about it" The Reps said
"oink you" in the first round, so eventually they'll hand over
taxpayers money in a somewhat smaller amount to get the deed done.
