I'm using a 15 meter parallel long cable to print to a laserjet 4V. As 
long as the cable is of good quality the length isn't an issue. And in 
good old times 15 m parallel cables always were quality ones (mine has 
10 years of age).

I'm afraid more an issue these days will be to acquiere a 15 m long // 
cable.
