The very first effects shot in The Next Generation -- a scene in
Encounter at Farpoint in which we see the E-D from in front -- was
horribly disapointing.  The seam of the green screen shot around the
starship is distractingly obvious and artificial looking.  Worse than in
TOS, in my opinion.
