How about this one - in Dean's office, there is a framed poster of the
one and only John Wayne on an Appaloosa that is a DEAD RINGER for Spot -
except that it's obviously not a mare. I have heard that it was from "Rio
Bravo" - rented it, no Appy in that movie. At least not THAT Appy.
It's a bay near-leopard, just like Spot. I've rented all the John Wayne
movies that the local outlet has - can anyone fill me in on which one this
might be? If I knew for sure, I would order the movie and BUY it.
And, while we are on the subject, if anyone out there who has cable
could tape the 1960's Marlon Brando (grade C) movie, "The Appaloosa", for me,
I would make it worth your while financially. Mrs. Braswell's daughter used
to train and show the lead stallion in the movie. I was unaware of this when
I gave away my copy to an Appaloosa breeder years ago.
