Well, when you do, as you find particularly nice programs, post a note
bout
it for us :)

I haven't found any phonics progs, cept one that's basically an adult
reference. If you have something a child could use, let us know the name of
it at least =)

Nah, I have quite alot of freeware, and even some decent shareware (a few
I've even thought worthy of registering ;) I'm pretty strict about what I
allow on my board, naggy, cheesey crippled shareware authors need not apply
;p :)
I think the freeware scene is just bustin' out all over. I run linux on one
box, netted to dos; Caldera is ready to release the source for DOS, and that
should only push the freeware market deeper into Micro$loth territory :)

I'll look that up.. I haven't even thought of using a web search to look
or
files, it seems ftpsearch (http://ftpsearch.unit.no/ftpsearch) is the only
system with a decent file database, but it's in Europe, and most of its data
is for european ftp sites (they do have some of North America's major sites,
coast/simtel, among them) ..
RF> What Web browser do you use?
Lynx, in Linux.

Mine are below.

Hrmm, at least at the expected level, kidergarten/1st grade. In certain
things he beyond that, especially math. He seems to intuitively grasped
lace
value very early. I've never sat down and 'taught' it to him, but he counts
to 100, very naturally. I was impressed at least :) He's not so good with
writing, he spends too much time typing, but he's starting to pick it up. We
buy lots of dot-2-dot books and color pencils for practicing :)
Ohh, and he cracked my password to the game Abuse, heh, chip off the old
block (Ok, it was an 'obvious' password, but we never told him what it was,
and he didn't get to see me typing it! :)
RF> At this site I found a program for phonics that has (I

Oww, I'll definitely look for that, thanks!
