Where in the "Tarheel State" are you?  (I'm in Asheboro)
About your question:  I have a yellow collar mini and a conure here.  While I 
do let them play together when they are out I do -not- let them be together 
without my being right there to supervise them very closely.  They are just 
like having little kids.  Sometimes they place real nice together, and 
sometimes they don't and I have to jump right in and break it up, and quickly 
before someone gets hurt.  So.... I definitely would not cage them together.  
Their size differences are too great and the potential for tragedy is also 
too great.
