My understanding from various posts on these lists is that UniAud is not 
gaurenteed to work with all AC97 class audio chipsets.

Trying a native driver would rule out this possible issue.

If someone on this list has the exact same model of  Intellistation 
working with the eCS 1.2 supplied version of UniAud, then you have a 
specific problem on your system.
