I'm prepared to take a fair bit of punishment in this area! Our Prime
Minister (John Howard) and his Foreign Minister etc are quite an
embarassment. In the local scene, they are ok (if you like their politics),
but on the world stage they are pathetic.

The irony in recent years has been that the only cultured and educated
politicians in Australia have been from the Left.
