CA> If you write your own examples onto a piece of paper as

CA> Doctors typically work 30 hours per week or less with Wednesday
CA> being the favorite day off for some reason?

First, I went to my doctors parking space today.
(I walk through his parking lot on my way to and
from work every day.) He drives a new white
Toyota.

He closes his office at 2PM on Fridays,
otherwise he is there. I see him in our hospital
(which is right next door to his office complex,
which the hospital leases to him and several
other doctors); and I, my wife, and my
co-worker's spouce have all been called back by
the doctor himself as late as 8 or 9 PM when our
calls had been placed to him early in the day.

I do not know if he has a family or not; but, I
see him often enough to know that he his around
Monday through Friday. Next time I see him, I'll
ask about family.

I will also check his parking stall every day to
see if he is ever "missing".

BTW, he and one other doctor take turns being
on call for each other.

CA> There are probably gov subsidies and even contributions from a
CA> few wealthy people who prefer to remain anonymous (there are a
CA> few who don't brag) that supplements the dollar amounts you are
CA> seeing.

My suspicion is that, just like our hospital,
those low pay rates are supplimented by charging
those who WILL pay, more. It is just looked at
as a higher cost of doing business which must be
passed on to the customer somehow.

CA> RS>>> And, doctors take some pretty big risks. I wouldn't want
CA> RS>>> to take many of those risks on.

CA> CA>> With the proper training I would do it in a heartbeat for
CA> CA>> $450 per hour and people kissing my *ss. Why not?

CA> RS> A mistake might be too hard for me to live with.

CA> It might be too terrible if I had been a doctor and was afraid
CA> to try?

If I felt that the situation was such, I'd have
no problem "trying". I'm talking about believing
something that turned out to be in error and
caused disability and/or death.

CA> I would've been a good doctor with that 40/20 vision etc. and I
CA> could've made a difference. I guess those 'talents' should've
CA> found their way to a wealthier family than my own?

I'm sure that your talents were put to good use
in other ways.

 TTYL.
