G'day Jay,
On 08 August 1995 you were in deep conversation with Carl Wilson
CW> Can you give the PSI equivelents for the bar numbers of 260 & 300?
JH> 1 bar = 1 atm = 14.7 psi, therefore:
Hmm....
JH> 260 bar = 3822 psi
260 bar * 100 = 26,000 Kpa / 6.89 = 3773.58 psi
JH> 300 bar = 4410 psi
300 bar * 100 = 30,000 Kpa / 6.89 = 4,354.13
Don't forget about the 14.7 psi Vs 14.5 psi of salt & fresh water. The above
calcs are for gas pressures, not water. :)
JH> That's why tanks with these ratings require DIN connectors......they
eed
JH> the extra beef.
Most connectors are rates for 3,000 psi service, which is odd as most
tank fills are approx 3,300 psi.
