Eh, a born pessimist. They have 18 governates now, it's not very much of a
stretch to see that evolve into regional representation in a national
government - additionally, contrary to what everyone seems to whine about,
the distribution of the various religious sects is fairly widespread across
regions - there are over a million Sunnis in Basra for one example. This
will allow for fairly evenhanded voting that will represent all and not
favor any one group inordinately. It's all going to work out just fine,
just not in the unreasonable time-frame the anti-war people pine for.
