The college is in Merced but the riding lessons are outside of Hilmar
about 10 minutes from Turlock.  They usually start at 9 in the morning
and get out around 1.  The instructor is very knowledgeable and helpful
and has horses to suit a wide range of riding levels from absolute
beginner to experienced and for most sizes of riders.  She also usually
offers classes for about $15 for group lessons on Saturdays when college
is not in session.  I would have to get a copy of the catalog to find
out when the class will start but its usually towards the end of
September and lasts 9 weeks.
BTW...The ranch will be having a Tom Dorrance clinic on the 13, 14, & 15
of Sept.
