hehe.. and considering i just spent almost $500 on a Digitech RP-6 effects
processor for my guitar (well worth it!) it's probably not in the near future
=)

JC> With no processor load?
Cubase requires a P-133 with 24 megs of ram i believe. The guy doing the demo
i went to was using a P-233 with 32 (or maybe 64??) megs ram.. soo.. ;)
but at the demo, he recorded a 10-track, 3 minute song (drums, vocals,
guitar, bass, and some more guitar backups etc .. all digital, no midi) and
then mastered it all using WaveLab (another program designed with cubase) and
burned it onto a cd, within a couple hours (including recording time). It's a
really really nice program =)
GM> midi card, or perhaps just use an AWE64 (and that way i can still use
GM> a regular sound card for games and other stuff =) ).
JC> Is midi really necessary for you?
I do/did collect midi files etc, so sortof =) plus a friend has a midi
keyboard, so if i ever borrowed that then i'd have a hookup for it.
