subject: Re: Shape Control Questio

Yes. Shapes are graphic objects drawn on the container by Windows. They
don't have events and can't respond to mouse events. When the app is run
Windows draws the shapes on the form or container; they don't "exist" as
buttons do.

: I have a form with an image of a country map.
: I want to put little red filled-in 'shapes' on the map to indicate capital
: cities or cities of importance, so that events can happen on mouse over
and
: also when the click the red dot.

: However, it looks like the 'shape' control doesn't have a code section to
it
: like command buttons and images do.
: (when i double click it during design, it takes me to the form code,
instead

:
: Does this mean i will have to make my own control?
: I thought of using Image control for each of the dots but transparency
: issues are a pain.
