Well - I can't help you with this one... Not unless you want a huge phone
bill ;-) (I belive it's quite expensive to call Denmark)

             Release Note on Elite 2864 Version 1.05 Aug 14, 1995
 Note: Version 1.03 and 1.04 are not formally released, their relase notes
re
       accumulated here.
 1. Improved connectivity on noisy lines with some V.FC modems.
 2. Fixed bugs:
    * S38.5=1 does not disable MNP5
    * Wrong displayed FAX connect message for command ATX7#B1+FCLASS=6
tring.
    * The top portion (0.5/1.0 inch) will be chopped in fax reception when a
      fax is received in class 2.0 mode.
    * The connect message of V.22bis (ATX7) was 2400/ARQ/V.22/V42b.
      It is corrected to 2400/ARQ/V.22b/V42b.
    * AT command response error:
        the response of AT&N after AT& was ERROR.
    * Wrong display of V34 and V32b LEDs. For example, when the modem
      connects in ZyX mode, both the V.34 and V.32 LED come on but when there
      is a retrain the V32bis LED goes off.
 3. When the DTE speed is set to 9600, the highest connection rate will be
    limited to 9600 bps.
 4. The default connection mode for multi-auto mode will be V.34 28800 on
    leased line operation.
 5. Improved performance on FRN (fast rate renegociation).

Maybe the 1.04 is a firmware for the ISDN version???
Over and out
