The other solution I was thinking of is.. to just move the monitor and
keyboard to the other side of the room and leave the main PC box and modems
where they are close to the phone jack. Monitor and keyboard extensions are
probably more expensive than a phone cable run, but I like the idea of having
a "neat" desktop anyway with just a monitor and keyboard. And... hopefully
I would not have to worry about the phone line degradations and interference
if I extend the current configuration an extra 20 feet.
