Jim, You hit the nail on the head. Where I live in Arizona we have to work
hard to get things done as we do in all other parts of the country.
It took us several years to get the Braille bill passed, and we had to become
one of the insiders. It was necessary for us tow rork not only with the
different political parties, but with the different organisations of and for
the blind and it took lots of work and time to do this and lots of
cooperation between many groups with differing views, but we got it done.
Thhere has to be some give and take here and there. This does bnot meen
letting go of principals or sacrificing goals, but becoming political
insiders, and working within the system. We all have some questions and
disagree with some things done by the system, but it's still there, and we
must deal with it.
By the way, ahat is happening with earnings limits? I got the last
presidential release, but is there anything new?
