Living in Australia is really no help either. It has been my experience,
without exception, that when dealing with any issue more technical than
"where can I buy this box?" and "what does it cost?",
you'll save yourself time, money and stress by dealing with the USA.
Australian arms of Microsoft, IBM, Canon, Toshiba, CompuServe, and many
others, are just money rakers-in. Their support staff know SFA about
internal design details of their products, and make it very clear that they
couldn't give a rat's ass about getting up and asking the techicians etc in
the organization.

Apparently many hw mfrs contract their drivers these days. Cheaper.
