Hello Wayne - Bill Weller, a very helpful user of my website has been telling me of a few broken links lately. I decided to run XENU on it to automate the process and found about 4 dozen broken links. Many were typos (my fault) from recent changes to webpages and a few were Microsoft deleting W31 support pages from the KnowledgeBase. :-\ Most were caused by either entire websites moving or shutting down with one that seems to have trashed his own download page which broke all of his links. The elist for SOFTCON burped up 20 messages at once today after about 3 weeks of zero messages. Looks as though they have combined the two 'survpc' elists into one which means 'the girls' are back. THIS time I won't make the mistake of offerring any help or advice at all directly to either of them. BasicLinux has been finalized without any input from me. Not sure I would've had much to say but annoying just the same. BasicLinux v2.0 will now setup a second 4 meg ramdrive if it detects enough installed memory. Users are putting an AIM clone there (not my idea). This would be just right for ATP and room for QWK and REP packets! I did this to BL v1.8 myself to make room for doing FIDO messages with BL. :-) The BasicLinux webpages are split into two persons now which made a mess of my webpages for BasicLinux. I've got to go over the entire webpage now since everything has changed/moved etc. Bad timing at my website as BasicLinux was just begining to be noticed and accessed at a good pace. I doubt either of the two BasicLinux 'maintainers' realize I was pumping connects to their website from mine. Took the better part of the day to fix all the broken links but I think I've got all of them now. Should be good for another month or so. There are now 2045 external links at my websites with 888 internal links. I may be getting a 19" monitor here soon but will need to try to brighten the pix a bit. At max brightness it's tolerable but I'd like a bit of 'slack' just in case it gets worse any time soon. It will be easier on these old eyes though. I'm also supposed to be getting WFWG still in the shrink wrap and may install that over the top of my W31 setup. 32 bit file access should improve browsing a bit and make connecting these machines via network cards that much easier. > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
