It's not there. The list goes from BOXIT11.ZIP to BROWSE13.ZIP
(tho 2.2 is the latest on that). No BRIGHT. No "bright" in any
of the descriptions, either. I found what I think you were
talking about, a Bright() proc in a COLORS.S (and COLORS.BIN,
etc) macro under the name INTENSE2.ZIP from July 1993 by Peter
Birch. It also contains an OverScan() proc which does the same
thing as a VidBorder() one GDB wrote using newer internal commands.
In any case, I folded it into my UI, and did Bright(On) and
Bright(Off) off the bat. Toggling took a bit more work, but
I came up with something that seems sensible. Given:
integer blink_bright // after others, near the start of TSE.UI
Bright(False) // near the end of WhenLoaded()
proc jBlinkBright() // near the start of TSE.UI
if blink_bright==0
Bright(1) blink_bright=1
else Bright(0) blink_bright=0
endif
end
At first I didn't remember to reset the integer. But now I can do:
Bright(0)
Bright(1)
jBlinkBright() // toggles
