I know, it kinda sucks too, I was hoping his illusion of frontrunner status
would hold together much longer to do maximum damage to the Dem's before
the final choice starts taking shots from Bush :-) But who knows? Clinton
only got 4% in Iowa, so perhaps Dean will come back (doubtful with that
"Yeaaargh" display though). Now this next I take with a grain of
salt, but I caught a few minutes of Limbaugh in the car today and he was
forwarding the theory that if Dean falls apart in the coming primaries and
is denied the nomination that he'll be pissed off and start running as a
third-party candidate. While that wouldn't actually surprise me (it was
completely tranparent when Dean asked the other candidates to pledge their
support of the nominee, that he was saying it because he thought he would
be), Limbaugh's further thought that he'd put Nader on as his VP seems just
too outlandish to even consider. I think rather, that Dean will just fade
back into the forest in VT and dust off his stethoscope, though I'd not
trust him with a knife on my body.
