From: Don Del Grande

1/10 - DOUBLE FEATURE (sort of)
-------------------------------
8:00 - ** THE FOX CREATIVE ACCOUNTING 450th EPISODE **
Once Upon a Time in Springfield (LABF20)
Krusty falls in love...with Princess Penelope, the new female sidekick
his network hired in order to get more girls to watch; when Mr. Burns
gets rid of the plant's free donuts, Homer, Lenny, and Carl see a
nuclear plant job headhunter
* In reality, this is the 451st episode aired and the 449th produced

8:30 ** ONE-HOUR SPECIAL ** The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special, In
3-D, On Ice
"Super Size Me" director Morgan Spurlock produced and directed this
documentary on the 20 years of The Simpsons and its effect worldwide
* The Fox press release announcing the special added a note that "this
show is neither in 3-D nor on ice"

1/17 - PRE-EMPTED for an encore showing of the "Human Target" premiere
(followed by the usual 2-hour "24" season premiere)

1/24 - PRE-EMPTED for the NFC Championship Game (local programming
will air after the game in the west)

1/31 - Million Dollar Maybe (LABF03)
Homer wins a million dollars in the lottery, but he can't even tell
Marge out of fear that she'll get mad at him (because he was supposed
to be attending a wedding with her at the time he bought the ticket)
* In production order, this is the 450th episode

As for the following two weeks, 2/7 is Super Bowl Sunday (on CBS), so
expect a repeat; 2/14 is Daytona 500 day (on Fox), so expect a new
episode

DYN
...Grampa is in the Navy this time? (They seem to switch back and
forth between the Army and the Navy)
...Homer's brain has folders for Food I Like, Bart in Hell, Marge's
Boobs, Grampa's Stories, Kids' Friends' Names, Driving a Stick
   Shift, and History?
...the August 1, 1933 Springfield Shopper cost five cents? (It later
became free before going up in price)
...Springfield was a two-newspaper town? (The Springfield Bugle was
   the evening paper)
...the movie stars getting off the train included Shirley Temple, W.C.
Fields, Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, James Cagney, and (presumably)
Boris Karloff in his Frankenstein's Monster costume?

GOOFS / FREEZE FRAME / WHATNOT
This is the 450th episode to air, but was not advertised as such, in
part because Fox wants to count the episode that aired along with the
Morgan Spurlock documentary as the 450th.

A newspaper headline reads, "Curly to Shemp: You're Out", but it was
Shemp that replaced Curly.

The movie version of "Out of the Mouth of Abe" was going to star Hank
Azaria; he starred in the movie version of "Tuesdays with Morrie".

The background was moving as Homer reached for the "back" of Cafe
Caboose twice; the first time Homer missed, the background should have
either stood still or moved in the other direction.
