I am a big fan of Slackware Linux (I use it for my BBS and on my personal machine) and am waiting for the maintainers of the S/ARM to compile it on the RPi 3. When that happens, I'm seriously considering putting the BBS on a RPi 3 with the BBS itself running off of a little WD 500GB external "pocket" USB hard drive. Talk about almost no power consumption.
