subject: Re: [OS2HW] Help Installing w/o LVM

Hello
OK I've got updated diskette set with new Danis506, DanisAtapi, DanisDASD
and OS2LDR and have altered them to stop LVM and VCU and load the new
drivers as well as give my cdrom a drive letter. I used an updated W4
final diskette for Fdisk and thereby installed new IBM BMgr and made it
"startable". I'm happy with the drive letter assignments (OS/2
desired partition is now "D") but I cannot set it installable. I
have DFSee but it is so powerful and so wide that it could take me a week,
being new to it, to figure out how to use it to set the partition
installable, and I'm not certain that is essential anyway.

 So my question is/are

Firstly, can I launch an install from the CD now that I can access it
which will allow me to format the partition, now unformatted, to HPFS and
proceed?

    or

Must I first format outside the install set, such as with old PQMagic or
new DFSee, before continuing?

  and

in either case which command starts the install process as if it had satisfied LVM?

Thanks
Jimmy
