subject: Rules of the Area

SB> I am writing to see if somebody could send me the Rules
SB> and Regulations of this Area. I haven't been in this
SB> area before and don't wish to upset anybody.

JG> There are no rules and there is no moderator.
JG> Most people seem to like it that way.

CL> There are rules and yes there is no moderator now.
CL> The moderator was Bob Wilson who started this echo many
CL> moons ago, specifically for Commercial Advertising only.

Well, thats ONE version of the story. Another has it that there aint
no moderator coz there wasnt meant to be because of the legal dangers
to a moderator as far as the commercial advertising is concerned.

CL> Unfortunately there are some users that
CL> want to kill the correct noise in the echo.

Sure, but no one actually made them pope.

CL> I have seen this take a turn for the worst on previous
CL> occassions, and thus a useful echo area was destroyed for all.

Crap, the noise level comes and goes. It works. Some
control freaks occasionally freak out. Thats their problem.

CL> Perhaps we need a moderator!

And perhaps its managed for years without one and we dont.

CL> I am sure the business people that use this media would not object?

Corse it aint up to them is it ? There is also the legal
risk that was the reason it doesnt have a moderator too.
