I have a USB 2.0 IDE adapter - claims to be compliant with USB 1.1 also. 
It comes with a separate brick with a 4 pin molex connector for power (+5
+12 each {at} 2amps) and a connector that goes on the back of a 3.5" HDD (the
other side is smaller, probably for a 2.5" laptop drive).

I can't get this to work on my T23 (USB 1.1) under eCS 1.1.  It works
(sort of) under win2k - but a 30gig Quantum Fireball drive shows up in
drive management as 6 gig.  Nothing in W2k (device mgr, etc.) gives me a
clue as to the specifics of this adapter (no brand name, the mini-CD only
contains drivers for W98 and offers no other clues).  DFSWIN hangs on
loading (I've sent trace info to Jan).

I can't even get that far with eCS.  USBRES.exe shows nothing attached. 
I've tried both the IBM USBMSD driver and the CWUSBMSD driver, no
difference.  I updated os2dasd.dmd per a suggestion from Mike Snyder - no
help (I suspect the problem is earlier in the chain).

Is there any sort of USB sniffer program that can extract the details of
this device so maybe I could add something to usbids.txt (which still has
a 2002 date on it, even from the latest DL from netlabs)?
