it somewhere among dozens of backup CDs and I will try to find them but
it's gonna take some time. IIRC, David Wu, may have brought up the MSI

at least their statements.

Hi Jimmy,

This very machine I'm typing on has an MSI MS6154VA motherboard with
Ensoniq [Creative chipset] sound onboard - which does indeed say in the
printed manual about the onboard sound that drivers for OS/2 are on the
installation CD. Like the OS/2 memory >64MB BIOS situation - which was
fixed initially by Daniela Engert with her patchldr, which modified the
os2ldr for a different register loading to use with INT 15h memory
functions, since deprecated as kernels addressed the problem - the
manual was bullshit! There were *no* OS/2 drivers for other than LAN, IIRC.

I even sent MSI a Colorworks-edited screenshot of the Sound drivers
page from the PDF manual for the mobo, clearly illustrating the
"supposed" OS/2 support - and over the course of several months
correspondence directly with their software technicians, they admitted
in writing that the OS/2 reference in the CD and online-PDF manuals was
in fact a *TYPO*!

I ended up getting a separate CS4614-based AOpen AW320 PCI card, which
is a pain as there are only 3 PCI slots onboard. During the course of
the correspondence they were in fact keen to be helpful - and even sent
me a set of OS/2 drivers from the mid-90s or even early 90s -- they
didn't work of course and they just said "sorry" O:-) !

So don't believe as Gospel what you read in any MSI manual/website.

[I do have the correspondence archived "somewhere" - but don't have time
to look for it presently.]
