TA~Some of us are old enough to remember when the British pound was

TA~When the British dissipated themselves fighting Fascism, the
  ~pound was replaced by the American dollar.

It wasn't because their social programs basically bankrupted
the country?..  And BTW, I am Not some ardent Conservative
(a.k.a. Republican). I believe in reasonable social programs
but the country can't bury itself with them either..

TA~(Considering todays history-lesson-in-process, one might want to
  ~hang on to their loonies for when it soon becomes the international
  ~standard 8-?

The name of our dollar alone may prevent that...   B)
