Hi Raymond,
(Monday April 13 1998 15:36) Raymond Beriau to Ted Menks about: no memory for
4dos under win95
TM>> But if I may believe what I've been reading here, you should be able
TM>> to configure Win95 to allow use of UMB's in a dos-BOX. Win3.xx does
TM>> *not* have such a feature...
RB> From my own experiences, I do not think Win95 releases the UMB...
*That's* what I believe too, but I saw Klaus Meinhardt mention otherwise...
;-)
He repeated that statement very recently... (Just saw it come by as a new
message ;-))
It involves adding a line: LocalLoadHigh=1
to the [386Enh] section in system.ini. I'm going to try that one out... ;-)
RB> But again, I have been wrong before... :)
I don't believe you're mistaken this time, Raymond. But then again, I've been
known to make mistakes, too ;-)))
RB> ... @TAGLINES.LSTS.LSTS.LSTS.LST
You still didn't manage to get that bit right, did you? ;-))))
Keep it up,
