| subject: | [OS2HW] ACD 0.56 question. Phil? |
I did my backup and tried to install ACD 0.56. That is, I ran install.exe. Then it told me my 0.53 version was older (what a surprise!) and that I should deinstall it. (Yeah I should have read the readme.) It asked if I wanted to do that. I indicated Yes and the install window went away. My next step was to look for the deinstallation program. You guessed it. There is no deinstaller. But I can't guess how to deinstall it. This is the kind of thing that drove me nuts while trying to get CDRecord installed in the first place. This was obviously not a Warpin installation. I _could_ delete the directory the old version is in, but that doesn't sound as fancy as the word "deinstallation" suggests, and I know CDRecord has specific references to the 0.53 version. And as dad blamed complicated as this thing is I have no illusions about being able to deinstall it properly. Any help appreciated. Jim L, via eCS 1.15 version of OS/2 ------------------------ Yahoo!
