You are so right. I am now blind because of the measures that were 
taken to save my life shorthly after I was born. I for one am glad I 
am  alive. My blindness came later due to what they had to do at my 
birth. but  I imagine her doctor will not hesitate when he  might have to 
do the same to any other child.
