 CF> V.502 works at V.34, not at K56Flex.
I think you'll find that it was the v.11* series that was K56Plus
 CF> K56Flex was actually Rockwell's K56Plus.
What proof do you have that ver.502 was actually K56Plus not K56flex?
 RT> In what way was .502, .516, or 1.02 series _not_ K56flex?
CF> The ROM mask of v.502 was cast before Lucent even got into the mix.
Think you'll find that was ver.11* which Zoom never shipped
 CF> That is the
CF> code that Rockwell supplied to vendors using both fixed and Flash ROM
CF> architechtures. That was all they had to offer.
Impossible. K56Plus code didn't have the ability to Flash the datapump
coz there were no Rockwell flashable datapumps at that time.
RT> Ascend and Cisco servers work alright with all versions.
RT> And are backwards compatible with K56Plus AFAIK
RT> (there were no released K56Plus models from Zoom btw)
CF> Ascend was the first to market with any K56???? server, and what they
CF> were using was K56Plus. That is the _only_ server code that Rockwell
 CF> had to offer.
Yes, the Open Forum hadn't formed then, but thanks for your confirmation
that there _were_ places which accepted K56Plus calls
(which you've earlier denied)
CF> The Hayes swap program is in effect now.
Ah, havn't seen their swap program yet.
If you have it saved, could you post?
